New Now is an exhibition cycle that invites emerging architects to think on their own work through an appropriation exercise of the physical space of the Gallery of Architecture. The projectual exercise will be common in all editions and should be subordinated to the language and the themes that define the work developed by the invited studio to manipulate the spatial qualities that define the existing space.
In its first edition, New Now invites Vírgula i. The theme that the architecture collective explores in New Now is the one of the creation of a critical space to the growing self-centrism that has characterized the current society, proposing the construction of an ephemeral temple dedicated to the Ego within the Gallery. From an unusual aesthetics and materiality, which are permanent characterizers of their projects, Virgula i work, in this context, the idea of monumentality, the sacred and the profane to invite the passer-by to an exercise of self-reflection.
